Bard, Google’s generative AI tool, has recently changed its name to Gemini, something they believe will reflect Google’s dedication to allowing all of its worldwide users to have “access to Google’s best family of AI models”. This relates to the name “Gemini” because it is a zodiac sign, and the personality traits associated with a Gemini include being very social. Perhaps Gemini refers to the social spirit of Google by being committed to giving people all over the world access to the AI tool. Which name do you prefer - Bard or Gemini? Hello Pengi, I prefer Gemini, only because it is a more catchy name.
From a intellectual property perspective Bard is less commonly used, so may be a better idea for Google to hold onto that name as well.
